Columbia's Cuban sandwich to be featured on foodie talk show

Florida's oldest restaurant, the 108-year-old Columbia in Ybor City, will demonstrate the real Cuban sandwich at 1 p.m. Tuesday on ABC's The Chew. Fifth-generation family member Andrea Gonzmart shows Chew correspondent Jason Roberts the way it's done — with Genoa salami, Miami, deal with it — using the 1915 recipe of her great-great-grandfather, Casimiro Hernandez Sr. Mario Batali and friends will find out why this Spanish-Cuban-Sicilian-German-Jewish mashup is the signature sandwich of the city of Tampa. — Laura Reiley, Times Food Critic
