Outback founders to open Glory Days restaurant in Tampa

Outback Steakhouse founders Bob Basham and Chris Sullivan and their partner, Nick Reader, are opening the first Glory Days Grill in Tampa. Their company, MVP Holdings of Tampa, announced plans Friday to open the restaurant at 17508 Dona Michelle Drive in New Tampa during the first quarter of 2014.

Founded in 1996 in Fairfax, Va., the sports-themed family restaurant has 20 locations in Virginia, Maryland and West Virginia. The agreement gives MVP Holdings the exclusive rights to expand the Glory Days brand throughout Florida. MVP Holdings also owns and operates PDQ, Carmel Cafe & Wine Bar and Lee Roy Selmon's.
