The Gulf to Bay Food Truck association recently announced a trio of events for mobile comfort food lovers.
The Taco and Beer Fiesta on Friday, and the St. Pete Asian Latern Festival on Sept. 15 will be the association's last, big food truck rally of the summers.
In addition to trucks such as the St. Pete Taco Lady and the Taco Traveler, association mainstays such as I Wanna Wok, Smokin Bowls, Surf & Turf Truck and Maggie on the Move will serve up "specialty Mexican and South American inspired dishes" as well as their normal offerings at the Taco and Beer Fiesta.
More than 20 trucks are planned for the event, which also features live music from the band National Act, a game zone, table seating and beer for sale, the association said.
The lantern festival will host several Asian cuisine trucks, as well as others serving Asian-themed specialties just for the event, which will also feature hundreds of lanterns.
And on Nov. 17, the association will host the Ooze & Booze Fest, with every truck celebrating dishes covered with, or oozing, cheese.
All of the events take place at Port St. Pete on the downtown waterfront at 250 8th Ave. SE. from 6 to 10 p.m. and are free to enter.
