Times food critic Laura Reiley's 'Farm to Fable' series is finalist for Pulitzer Prize

Tampa Bay Times food critic Laura Reiley was named a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in criticism Monday for work that included the series "Farm to Fable," which exposed false claims of food origins by many restaurants and farmers' markets.

Reiley's work prompted state investigations into the claims and other state-level regulatory changes. She was one of three finalists for the prize, which was won by Hilton Als of the New Yorker.
