Taste test: turkey jerky

Beef jerky has long been a staple when it comes to healthy and portable protein-packed snacks. But for those who don't eat red meat, dehydrated turkey and pork have become tasty options with similarly low amounts of fat and sugar. Many brands have added flavorings, such as teriyaki or barbecue, that can increase the salt content. Overall, though, the pouches of dehydrated chunks of meat taste and travel well. This week, we enlisted the help of journalism students at Tampa Catholic High School to try four brands of "original" turkey jerky.
