Mavi the elephant turns 1 with pool party

Mavi the adorable elephant calf turns 1 year old, so Lowry Park Zoo is throwing a pool party. Good thing the elephants are bringing their trunks! The herd will get special pool-side treats, while the human guests will get Radio Disney entertainment, activities and keeper talks. The party runs 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the zoo, 1101 W Sligh Ave., Tampa. Included with admission: $24.95, $22.95 seniors, $19.95 ages 3-11, 2 and younger free. (813) 935-8552.
