The Bornean orangutan family at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo is swinging into spring with the annual Orangutan Egg Hunt. As the four playful primates wait off-exhibit for the fun to begin, zoo keepers will play Easter bunny and "hide" hard-boiled eggs, baskets and other seasonal goodies throughout the exhibit. In addition to enjoying the tasty treats, the orangutans benefit from the challenge that offers the animals incentives to explore and interact with their habitat. One of many enrichment activities, this rewarding task helps stimulate the highly intelligent animals, both mentally and physically.

Lowry Park Zoo is located at 1101 W Sligh Ave in Tampa.
