Tampa Theatre typically screens a single new release for weeks, but soon they'll show five films in one week. From Aug. 30 to Sept. 5, the theater will screen five new movies for one or two days each. Among them are two Danish arthouse successes, the pirate hostage drama A Hijacking and Cannes award-winning The Hunt. The movies the theater screens usually require one- or two-week runs, said marketing director Jill Witecki. But their film booker was able to find several releases at once that were willing to do shorter runs. The other films are Vienna art museum character study Museum Hours, surfing documentary Storm Surfers and aging love tale Still Mine. The succession ends with the Casey Affleck/Rooney Mara flick Ain't Them Bodies Saints, which will have a typical, longer run. — Jimmy Geurts, Times staff writer
