The China National Symphony Orchestra is on a U.S. tour that brings it to St. Petersburg's Mahaffey Theater for a concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Based in Beijing, the orchestra will play a mix of Chinese works, such as Xhanzhao He and Gang Chen's Butterfly Lovers' Violin Concerto, as well as standard repertoire, such as Rachmaninoff's Symphony No. 2. The violin soloist is Bin Huang. Also on the agenda: the opening movement from Guan Xia's Requiem for the Earth, composed in remembrance of the 2008 Sichuan earthquake. $39.50-$59.50.
