Italian concert pianist Alberto Lodoletti performs baroque, classical and modern works.

Italian concert pianist Al­berto Lodoletti will perform at 7 p.m. today at the United Methodist Church of Sun City Center, 1210 Del Webb Blvd.

This is Lodoletti's first American tour.

He traces his musical background to his paternal grandmother, Nelly Schroder, a pianist in Paris. Over the years, Lodoletti has staged concerts in Italy, Austria, Germany, France, Monaco, Romania and Switzerland.

According to his website, his repertoire ranges from works of baroque and classical composers to those of modern contemporaries. Since 2008 he has served as artistic director of the International Festival of Classical Music of Medio Olona in Italy.

His program will include Scarlatti's Sonata in E major, K. 380 and Toccata in D minor, K. 141, Beethoven's Piano Sonata in F minor and more.
