Since the release of their stellar 2013 album One Big Particular Loop, fans both local and national have been hungry for new music from St. Pete indie rockers Polyenso. They've gotten high-profile attention from big-time sites like Consequence of Sound and the Huffington Post, which named them one of "25 artists you need to start listening to in 2015."

The group has spent two years writing and recording the follow-up to One Big Particular Loop (titled Pure In the Plastic, it should be out early next year), but has teased fans with dreamy new songs 17 New Years, Osaka Son and Moona Festival. All are part of a four-track collection dubbed EP1 that Polyenso will release with a hometown show on Friday at the State Theatre.

Consider it a taste of what'll no doubt be a huge 2016 for one of Tampa Bay's brightest young bands.
