Rob Zombie joins Mayhem Fest

How does the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Tour follow an epic 2012 lineup that included Slayer, Slipknot, Motorhead and Anthrax? Well ... the short answer is, you can't. The 2012 lineup was one for the ages. But that doesn't mean there isn't much to love about this year's Mayhem Festival, the lineup to which has just been unveiled. Rob Zombie, Mastodon, Five Finger Death Punch and Amon Amarth are the main stage headliners for this year's fest, which hits Tampa's Live Nation Amphitheatre at the Florida State Fairgrounds on July 31. Other artists on the bill: Children of Bodom, Machine Head, Job For a Cowboy, Behemoth, Emmure, Born of Osiris, Motionless In White and more. All in all, it's a lineup that's bound to cater more to metal diehards than casual fans. Tickets to this year's Mayhem Festival go on sale at noon today, with $20 lawn tickets through Monday. Otherwise, tickets are $25.50-$64.50. Get tickets at (813) 740-2446 and through Ticketmaster. — Jay Cridlin
