Sadly, Morrissey has to exist in a gossip-hungry media landscape where blogs and magazines report each and every detail of his eccentric, woe-is-me antics. For example, in 2013 he threatened to not play L.A.'s Staples Center unless they went vegan for the night, and he recently wanted another band's set canceled because they were scheduled to play at the same time within a venue that has multiple performance spaces. And while the 54-year-old Smith frontman's behavior is pretty much right on par with that of an adult in diapers, it hasn't really stopped folks from flocking to this tour supporting his upcoming LP, World Peace Is None of Your Business. This Mahaffey Theater show on Friday sold out long ago and it's because there isn't anyone else that can use post new wave, undeniably beautiful Brit rock and a theatrical stage presence to connect with disaffected, wrought-with-malaise fans like the Moz does. With Kristeen Young.
