Music Makes a Parade – Boats Make It Even More Fun

On Sat., April 9, at 1 p.m., the Pithlachascotee River will be filled with color and music as the Chasco Fiesta launches its 94th Boat Parade. The Chasco Fiesta™ Boat Parade is the oldest boat parade in the state of Florida. Look for King Pithla and Queen Chasco in their crown boat, as well as some NFL celebrities as the Pithlachascotee comes alive with excitement!

Start Your Engines

Here they come. On Sun., April 3rd a delightful procession of vintage, tricked-out, modern, unusual and unique vehicles will roll into Orange Lake Park. This is an event for the whole family: a way to experience these amazing machines and the pride and attention to detail that has gone into the restoration of vintage vehicles and re-creation of some of the more modern ones with custom paint jobs and other modifications…

The driving forces behind Chasco Fiesta™ are the volunteers who help to make the various events happen.  Many local non-profit groups benefit either directly or indirectly from the visitors who come to New Port Richey and the surrounding area during the festival.  In 2015, the non-profits raised over $200,000 to help support their organizations.

Some of the groups set up food booths as a fund-raiser and some participate directly with a specific event to raise funds and awareness.  There are also those who perform their community service by organizing & running an event.  However they participate, it is because of their energy and enthusiasm that Chasco Fiesta™ has grown from a hometown fair into a regional festival.

The mission of the Chasco Fiesta™ Steering Committee is to continue planning and implementing quality events, so that these groups have an opportunity to raise funds.
