The new Millennium Theatre Company will present a musical production of What in the Dickens Happened To Scrooge? weekends, Dec. 9-17, at 10005 Ridge Road, New Port Richey. Show times are at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. The musical is a new take on an old classic, written by local playwright Jerry Cowling, who also stars as Scrooge. The overworked, underappreciated employees of the tyrannical, stingy Ebenezer Scrooge conspire to get him drunk and make him see himself as he really is. The cast of 23 also features Sara DelBeato, Myndee Fleury Washington, Leanne Germann, Ryan Bintz, Elizabeth Bell, Justin Edwards, Susan Nichols and Duffy Rizutto. The production is directed and staged by Jimmy Ferraro, with musical direction by Myndee Fleury Washington. Costumes are by Darlene Widner (who is also stage manager) and Myndee Fleury Washington. This is the first production of Millennium Theatre Company, a nonprofit community theater and division of MANTAS. Tickets are $20 for adults, $12 for students 17 and younger, and $17 for groups of 10 or more. Buy tickets online at millenium-theatre-company.ticketleap.com/what-in-the-dickens/, by calling (727) 271-9742 or at the box office one hour before showtime.
