HUDSON — The Show Palace Dinner Theatre opens 2018 with a local production of the 1972 Broadway musical, Pippin, which runs evenings and matinees Jan. 13 through Feb. 18.
The ensemble performance features an acrobatic troupe led by a charismatic "Leading Player" (Imani Williams, who recently performed in the ensemble national tour of Pippin.) Collectively, the mysterious performers tell the story of Pippin (Trenton Bainbridge making his Show Palace debut), the son of fabled French Emperor Charlemagne, who, after returning home from university, embarks on a series of adventures while searching for his "corner of the sky."
Other cast members include Pierre Tannous (Lewis), Heather Baird (Catherine), Heather Krueger (Fastrada), Karen Bail (Berthe), Jay Goldberg (Charlemagne), Maddox Padgett (Theo). Director is Jonathan Van Dyke. Choreographer is Shain Stroff. Music Director is Jeremy Douglas.
