Have you ever loved someone across time and distance? Theater lovers can celebrate Valentine’s Day by catching A.R. Gurney’s Love Letters for one weekend only at Stage West Community Playhouse, 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill.

The show will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 16, and 2 p.m. Feb. 17 and 18 in the Forum Theater.

The play tells the story of the wealthy Melissa Gardner and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III, who meet at her second-grade birthday party and start a lifelong correspondence. Through their letters that span more than 50 years, the audience watches the ups and downs of their relationship, and the successes and failures in their lives. The play, which was a finalist for a Pulitzer Prize in drama, is co-directed and stars Ernie Rowland and Betsy Glasson, two award-winning veteran actors. Tickets are $20.
