If you can't wait to kick off the holiday party season, don your best baubles and head to American Stage. A Marvelous Party! The Noel Coward Celebration is a sparkling confection based on the works of the wittily elegant British playwright (Private Lives), composer and performer.

This bubbly revue features a cast of four — Larry Alexander, Melissa Bayern, Lizzie Hagstedt and Matthew McGee — serving up Coward's wicked repartee in sketches and anecdotes and singing 33 of his sophisticated songs, including Mad Dogs and Englishmen, Mad About the Boy and The Party's Over. Just to make you feel even more like you're part of the party, American Stage is offering (at regular price) on-stage table seating for 20 people at each performance.

A Marvelous Party is in previews at 8 tonight; opening night, which includes a reception before the show at 6:30 p.m., is Friday. The play runs through Dec. 22. American Stage performs in the Raymond James Theatre, 163 Third St. N, St. Petersburg. For tickets and information, go to americanstage.org or call (727) 823-7529.

I don? t look like your typical pop star,? says the pint-size 23-year-old British folk singer with a mop of red hair and an unassuming mien. ? 3. Who is really making 'Chihuly art'?

    Visual Arts

SEATTLE — More than 40 years later, Jeffrey Beers still vividly remembers what it felt like to have Dale Chihuly call up to convene a pre-dawn glassblowing session. You felt flattered and inspired, he said, jazzed by Mr. Chihuly's caffeinated freight train of energy and the idea of making art with him while most …

  5. Recipe for Chicken Wings with Coconut Sweet Potato Puree

    Cooking

This dish is an homage to one of my favorite Epcot International Food and Wine Festival dishes: Grilled Beef Skewer With Chimichurri Sauce and Boniato Puree from the Patagonia kiosk. A boniato is a sweet potato with whiter flesh and a typically sweeter flavor. I use standard sweet potatoes in this recipe, plus a little …
