The Sugar Bean Sisters is the show for anyone who ever wanted to get out of Dodge, and by Dodge, we mean this planet. The southern gothic play by Nathan Sanders tells of the Nettles sisters, stuck in a Florida swamp near Disney World, determined to escape their spinsterhood by leaving on a spaceship. The comedy, directed by Karla Hartley and starring Caroline Jett, Rosemary Orlando, Caitlin Eason, Ami Sallee and Ned Averill-Snell, opens Friday and runs through June 29 at Stageworks, 1120 E Kennedy Blvd. in Tampa. $26-$35, (813)374-2416. stageworkstheatre.org.
