"Mel" is the Portuguese word for "honey," and a perfect name for this sugary little brown bear. Mel is a bit shy at first but warms up quickly and affectionately. She's a 1-year-old, 25-pound dog-friendly pal who plays endlessly with the other nice foster dogs in her temporary home. She would make a great play-pal or second family dog.
