TAMPA — The Florida Orchestra has canceled a planned fireworks display Sunday at its free Pops in the Park concert, the result of a burn ban issued by Hillsborough County.

The concert, with selections ranging from Brahms to Beauty in the Beast, and the film scores of Superman, Star Wars and Jurassic Park, is still on. The grand finale of RiverFest, the concert starts at 7:30 p.m Sunday at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park.

The ban follows a recent dry spell leading to more than 100 wildfires statewide. Pasco and Hernando counties have issued similar bans.
