Working on your leg extensions? See how it's really done when the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater comes to Ruth Eckerd Hall on Tuesday. Ailey dancers are known for powerful, muscular moves set to choreography that challenges conventions. The lineup includes a full company work called "The River," with bodies capturing the motions of rapids and streams, as well as Ailey's signature work, "Revelations," which makes use of African-American spirituals, gospel and blues. Show starts at 8 p.m. at 1111 N McMullen-Booth Road, Clearwater. $35-$100. (727) 791-7400. rutheckeredhall.com.
