'Rush Hour' comic Chris Tucker coming to Tampa's Straz Center

Chris Tucker, the fast-talking comic best known for the Rush Hour films, is bringing his standup comedy tour to Tampa in June. Tucker, who was one of the defining voices of the Def Comedy Jam in the 1990s, was last here in 2012, selling out two shows at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg. He has since taken his comedy tour around the world and also set to release his first standup comedy special on Netflix in July. He takes the stage at Tampa's Straz Center for the Performing Arts on June 12, and expect tickets to sell briskly for this popular comic who is also becoming a respected actor, last appearing in Oscar favorite Silver Linings Playbook.
