'Seven Brides' opens Oct. 14 at Show Palace Dinner Theatre

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers opens Oct. 14 and runs through Nov. 12 at the Show Palace Dinner Theatre in Hudson.

The musical, based on the original 1954 MGM film, is set in Oregon in 1850 and tells the story of Millie, a young bride living in the 1850s Oregon wilderness. She marries a man, who, unbeknownst to her, has six unruly brothers living at home. Her plan to marry them off backfires when the brothers kidnap six women from a neighboring town to be their brides.

The lead actors, Sunny Gay (Millie) and Cody Garcia (Adam), are making their Show Palace debuts. Gay most recently performed with RWS Entertainment Group at the Story Land theme park in New Hampshire and has been featured in productions of She Loves Me, Legally Blonde and Heathers. Garcia's credits include Goin' Courtin!, Shrek, Urinetown, Young Frankenstein and Mary Poppins. The music director is Kevin Dorey. Jill Godfrey is director/choreographer. The assistant director/co-choreographer is Brittany Morgan.

The Show Palace is at 16128 U.S. 19, Hudson. Dinner and show, $50.50, plus tax and tip; show only, group, and youth tickets available. Call (727) 863-7949.
