Thursday is National Roller Coaster Day. How Busch Gardens and SeaWorld are celebrating

For thrill junkies, next Thursday is National Roller Coaster Day, and Busch Gardens and SeaWorld are offering some extras for those observant followers of the need for speed.

Busch Gardens quickly sold out a two-hour Roller Coaster Insider Tour for $49.99 Aug. 16-19 that offers insider looks at SheiKra, Cheetah Hunt and Cobraís Curse, including a birdís eye view on the top of SheiKra.

SeaWorld Orlando is throwing a Thrill Fest Ride Night on Aug. 17, with extended park hours to ride its coasters, an extended happy hour and a free "Tech Talk" on operations and maintenance at the Manta coaster. The free program will be limited to 50 guests per tour on a first-come, first-served basis at 1 and 2 p.m. Aug. 17. Sign up at the Information and Reservation Counter.

Its coasters Manta, Mako, Kraken and Journey to Atlantis will stay open until midnight and happy hour at Sharks Underwater Grill and Flamecraft Bar will be extended until 11 p.m.

And donít forget SeaWorld still has free beer through Sept. 2. Guests 21 years of age and older can get two free 7 ounce beers at Mamaís Pretzel Kitchen Patio.

There is a ticket deal that gets you two tickets to Busch Gardens and SeaWorld for $99.99 if purchased in advance at SeaWorldOrlando.com.
