Disney's princess hall to open Wednesday

The construction fences have come down and Disney's Princess Fairytale Hall, a meet-and-greet area for Disney princesses and characters, will open at the Magic Kingdom on Wednesday. This is just one of many new additions to the theme park's Fantasyland expansion and is located next to Cinderella's Castle. It replaces the old Snow White's Scary Adventures ride, one of the original rides when the park first opened in 1971. The hall has the feel of a castle, with wood-paneled rooms, stained-glass windows and decor inspired by Disney films. Visitors will be able to choose from two queues, one for Cinderella and one for Rapuznel, based on the movie Tangled. Each of those characters will have a "visiting" princess in her queue, and that lineup is expected to rotate. The final Fantasyland project is the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train roller coaster, which is scheduled to be completed next year. —Sharon Kennedy Wynne
