Shamu show returns to SeaWorld this weekend

After a three-month hiatus for pool upgrades, the Shamu show "One Ocean" is returning to SeaWorld in Orlando on Friday. The iconic killer whale show was closed in January while Shamu Stadium's main pool was repainted and the clear panels that separate the animals from the audience were replaced. The "Dine With Shamu" experience, which includes a poolside meal and demonstrations of training methods, also will be returning starting Monday. The park is also working on a a new nighttime Shamu show that will debut in June as part of the park's Summer Nights promotion. —Sharon Kennedy Wynne, Times staff writer
