Video: Tour amazing Simpsons' Springfield at Universal Orlando

Universal Orlando held a media preview of its new Simpsons-themed Springfield street on Thursday, and we were there to get a tour.

Now open, the attraction lets you walk the streets of Springfield, grab a Krusty Burger, eat doughnuts at Lard Lad, imbibe at Moe's Tavern and drink Homer's favorite, Duff Beer — brewed exclusively for Universal Orlando.

The park also added a new ride called Kang & Kodos' Twirl 'n' Hurl, an outdoor spinner ride that resembles Disney's Dumbo ride. Kang and Kodo are the recurring space aliens from the planet Rigel IV who appear in most of the "Treehouse of Horror" episodes.

Take our video tour with tbt* editor Jay Cridlin, our certified Simpsons fanatic, and see what he thinks of the Doh!-main.

Should the Karate Kid series have stopped at the original? Probably, but if we didn't have Karate Kid 3 would will still have the lost song Listen To Her Heart by the Little River Band?

  5. Bar review: The Landing at Jannus in St. Petersburg

    Bars & Spirits

I've spent many evenings in St. Pete's Jannus Live courtyard, enjoying one of the best open-air venues in the Tampa Bay area. It's where I saw my first concert in Florida: Toadies, on the Rubberneck tour sometime in the mid '90s.

The drinks at the Landing at Jannus in St. Petersburg are about as cheap as you’ll find at any other regular downtown bar, a nice surprise.
