Richey Suncoast theatre audition schedule for 2018-2019 shows

Got a hankering to perform on stage? Want to be part of a community theatre production? The Richey Suncoast Theatre, 6237 Grand Boulevard, New Port Richey, will be hosting auditions for its upcoming Broadway and Blackbox seasons. Auditions are open to all and start at 7 p.m. on the dates listed below. No appointment is needed.

Broadway Season auditions

Fox on the Fairway, Nov. 5-6

Dogfight, Dec. 3-4

Sister Act: Feb. 18-19

Black Box Season auditions

One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Aug. 27-28

Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks. Nov. 26-27

Almost Maine, April 8-9

Night Mother, June 10-11

Performers may be asked to do a cold reading from the scripts as decided by the director. Those auditioning for a musical will be required to sing 16 measures of a song of their choice. Bring a tape, CD or sheet music as accompaniment. The show choreographer will demonstrate some dance steps, and those auditioning will be requested to repeat the dance steps as shown, with music.

Bring an 8 x 10 head shot (not returnable) and a resume listing training, schools and/or past experiences with the most recent show/experience first.

Experienced and non-experienced stage crew also are needed for every show. Apply in person the night of the auditions, stop by the office and submit your name, or inquire by e-mail. For information, call (727) 842-6777 or email [email protected]
