'Aloft' exhibit shows aerial photos of Florida

You're going to hear Bette Midler singing From a Distance in your head when you visit a new exhibition at the TECO Public Art Gallery. "Aloft" is a series of gorgeous photographs from Aerial Innovations, a group that produces images of Florida from 2,000 feet in the air. Shown are Miracle Grow by Colette Eddy and Lazy River by Jason Stephens. The show is on view through Aug. 30 and a free reception is July 11 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. with light refreshments and a cash bar. The gallery, 702 N Franklin St., Tampa, is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday (but closed on July 4). Admission is free.

    Stage

I went to see the musical comedy Young Frankenstein at Stage West Community Playhouse in Spring Hill with some trepidation.
