m Collections: Celebrating the Art of Craft

Florida Craftsmen Gallery, 501 Central Ave., St. Petersburg, floridacraftsmen.net or (727) 821-7391.

Fine crafts from 15 collectors are showcased in an informal retrospective of the organization's 60-year history with some pieces going back more than half a century. A free opening reception is from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday.

m On the Road: Highwaymen from Three Collectors

Dunedin Fine Art Center at Stirling Art Studios and Gallery, 730 Broadway, Dunedin, stirlingartstudios.com or dfac.org.

Note that this show is not at DFAC but a building downtown that houses studios, DFAC classrooms and the art gallery, where works by 26 African-American artists known as Highwaymen are on view. Two of them, Isaac Knight and Roy McLendon, will be at the gallery from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
