Guns become instruments for music, exhibit

More violence, more news about the "stand your ground" law, which makes Amendment to the Amendment/(under)stand your ground so timely. The theatrical performance is at 7 p.m. today at the University of South Florida, Theatre 2, on the Tampa campus at 4202 E Fowler Ave. Conceived by artist Pedro Reyes, School of Music faculty and students play instruments Reyes created from confiscated firearms. The instruments will also be on view at USF's Contemporary Art Museum through March 7. It's free but a reservation is suggested. College of the Arts box office, (813) 974-2323.
