New Mexico exhibit winding down at Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg

"New Mexico and the Arts of Enchantment featuring the Raymond James Collection" has been a popular exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg. (Don't you love this painting by Billy Schenck?) But it's time for the show to go for two reasons. The lenders, especially Tom and Mary James, who are the major ones, miss their art. And galleries need clearing for the upcoming exhibition of contemporary Chinese artists opening in June at both MFA and the Tampa Museum of Art. The last day for "New Mexico" is Sunday. The museum, 255 Beach Drive NE, St. Petersburg, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday with extended hours to 8 p.m. Thursday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $17 for adults, $15 for seniors, $10 for children 7 and older and students with ID and $5 for all on Thursday after 5 p.m.
