New museum show features Dali prints

Another show opening Saturday is "Print is the New Black: Dalí, Printmaker" at the Dalí Museum, 1 Dalí Blvd., St. Petersburg. It features 85 prints from the permanent collection that were commissioned between 1930 to 1976. The artist had a distaste for lithography, preferring older printing methods such as etching, so he developed techniques in collaborations with printers that often combined the two. Shown is Winter and Summer, 1973, an embossed lithograph with etching. thedali.org or (727) 823-3767.
