Paper is the star of 'Cut, Fold, Shred' exhibit

Paper is integral to creating a lot of art, the vehicle that provides a surface on which an image rests. But in "Cut, Fold, Shred," paper is the star medium. The show at Florida Craftsmen Gallery, 501 Central Ave., St. Petersburg, opens Friday with a free reception from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and continues through Oct. 19. It features 11 artists who manipulate paper and images on paper such as photographs. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Free. floridacraftsmen.net or (727) 821-7391.
