Ringling Museum of Art celebrates circus stamps

The circus is coming to stamps! The U.S. Postal Service and the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art unveil a new series of "forever" stamps using images from vintage circus posters from the Ringling's collection on Monday. For the occasion, a celebration on the grounds of Ca d'Zan, the Ringlings' historic home, includes a ringmaster, clowns and music on the museum's bell wagon, which made an appearance in the 1952 Cecil B. DeMille movie The Greatest Show on Earth. It begins at 11 a.m. and it's free. ringling.org or (941) 359-5700.
