You'll find many more fine galleries and arts events going on. A few examples:

Five Deuces Galleria, a new gallery at 222 22nd St. S, in St. Petersburg's Warehouse District, opens the first show curated by Lance Rodgers since he moved in, with paintings by Jim Corp. Free opening, 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Florida Craftsmen Gallery, 501 Central Ave., St. Petersburg, also opens new shows, one of tapestries woven by four artists and ceramic sculptures by Su Griggs Allen. Free reception, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday.

Clayton Galleries, 4105 S MacDill Ave., Tampa, has the first joint show with Bruce Marsh and Jeffrey Kronsnoble, two distinguished artists and retired USF professors, through April 12. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday. Free.

• Quilters, this is your weekend! The Suncoast Quilting Circle has a juried show, along with raffles and related events, at Minnreg Hall, 6340 126th Ave., Largo. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $7 for adults and kids older than 12. West Pasco Quilt Guild has a new show in a new venue, the New Port Richey Aquatic and Rec Center, 6630 Van Buren St., New Port Richey. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission $7.

    Samuel L. Jackson plays a master assassin testifying against a dictator, and Ryan Reynolds plays a bodyguard tasked with keeping him alive.
