Centennial celebration of Tony Jannus' first commercial flight

A century ago, history was made in St. Petersburg when 24-year-old Tony Jannus piloted a Benoist airboat to Tampa and back. The Jan. 1, 1914, flight, carrying one passenger, marked the beginning of the world’s commercial airline industry.
