A weak, dry cold front pushed through Tampa Bay early Wednesday morning, but it did little more than reinforce the current cold that has settled in the area.

Temperatures will stick around mid-60s today with clear skies and plenty of sunshine, according to the National Weather Serivice. The bay area temperatures may reach the low 70s with any luck.

Overnight, temperatures are likely to drastically drop down to the lower 40s. A freeze warning was issued for Levy County, which could see freezing temperatures for up to four hours. Patchy frost could be seen as far south as Pasco County, forecasters said.

Thursday does not hold any drastic changes. Temperatures will be near 70 degrees and skies should be clear with plenty of sunshine.

Friday should mark a turn for the better for the weekend with a temperature high reaching up from lower to mid-70s. And by Saturday temperatures should range from 75-80 degrees.

Rain is predicted for Sunday night and into the start of the workweek.
