Tampa Bay will ease into the weekend enjoying ideal weather conditions. Friday and Saturday, skies should be mostly sunny with almost no chance of rain and temperatures hanging around the upper 60s and lower 70s.
But a cold front is expected to roll over south Florida on Sunday, pushing scattered showers across Tampa Bay into next week.
A red-flag warning has been issued for many bay area counties, warning of advantageous wildfire conditions. The dry air is due, in part, to the high-pressure system that has been keeping rain clouds away.
Spectators heading toward the Valspar Championship today won’t see as drastic wind speeds as they did Thursday. Instead, wind speeds will push around 5-10 mph.
The rain could continue into early morning Monday but will clear up by the end of the day. By Tuesday, the area should begin to warm back up into the mid-70s.
