This week’s pleasant — yet cool — stretch will continue into the middle of the week across Tampa Bay, before a warming trend carries highs closer to beach territory by the end of the weekend.

The cold front that brought these unseasonably chilly temperatures is moving out, but a reinforcing blast on Wednesday will bring even colder temperatures by Wednesday night, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures on Tuesday are starting out in the upper 40s throughout most of Tampa Bay and pleasant highs will climb into the upper 60s under mostly sunny skies, forecasters said.

The winds that whipped through the region on Monday are diminishing, however, although a high surf advisory remains in effect for coastal communities until 4 p.m.

Expect similar conditions and a slight warming trend throughout the week, although lows on Wednesday night will plunge to the low 40s in the immediate Tampa Bay area — and even in the mid 30s to the north, forecasters said.

Highs on Friday will finally eclipse 70 and will be even warmer for St. Patrick’s Day, when the temperature on Saturday will approach 80 with plenty of sunshine, forecasters said.
