There is a chance of rain throughout Friday, but the weekend should be perfect to make those beach plans.
Similar to the past two days, showers could appear around the coast early Friday morning, but by the afternoon those storms should move inland, according to the National Weather Service.
Most of the showers are centered around the Nature Coast, but pops of isolated storms could appear throughout the day. These storms will appear farther inland by the afternoon as coastal sea breezes push them overland, so expect a higher chance of rain east of the I-75 corridor.
Highs will reach the upper 80s to near 90 with a strong sea breeze throughout the day. Expect partly cloudy skies until more stable air takes hold overnight.
On Saturday and Sunday, the chance of rain will drop to around 20 percent, forecasters said. Mostly sunny skies will provide a lot of sunshine, with temperatures warning to the high 80s — and possibly the low 90s. Make sure to wear sunscreen and stay hydrated as temperatures in the gulf should be inviting for anyone planning to visit one of Tampa Bay’s beautiful beaches.
