Tampa Bay Weather

Forecast: Thick morning fog over Tampa Bay will yield to partly cloudy skies

Early morning commuters may want to take some extra time as thick fog has built over the Tampa Bay area.

Feels-like temperatures around the Tampa Bay area

A dense fog advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. as the fog is reducing visibility to about a quarter-mile in St. Petersburg and other areas, 10Weather WTSP meteorologist Grant Gilmore said.

The fog accompanies a muggy, moist morning across the region, with high humidity resulting in a saturated atmosphere and temperatures in the low 60s, Gilmore said.

Once the fog burns off by mid-morning, temperatures will reach the low to mid 80s under partly cloudy skies with a very slight chance of a few raindrops in the afternoon, Glmore siad.

Expect similar conditions on Tuesday morning, with pleasant conditions, mostly sunny skies by midweek and highs remaining in the low 80s and lows in the upper 60s.
