Grab your umbrellas, there's a storm a-coming.

A cold front coming in from the northwest is making its way south and east over Florida today, bringing with it a band of moisture that will blanket the Tampa Bay area in rain this afternoon, according to forecasters with the National Weather Service.

The day should start out cool and pleasant with a bit of sun peaking through mostly cloudy skies as temperatures warm up. The front is expected to make its way to the area from the north, pushing a band of storms in between 2 and 4 p.m. The chance of rain is around 80 percent today.

The storms shouldn't last too long and the day will be otherwise warm and breezy. Highs will peak around 82 degrees with winds around 15 mph, gusting to 20-30 mph. Lows will drop to the upper 60s overnight.

High pressure behind the front will bring cooler and drier air Saturday. The chance of rain will be small and temperatures will stay in the mid 70s during the day, dropping to the low 60s overnight.

That front is expected to lift back to the north Sunday, turning into a warm front as it pushes moisture back into the area.

Temperatures will climb back to the 80s Sunday as rain chances jump to about 70 percent.
