It appears Tampa Bay will almost make it to the end of the work week enjoying clear, sunny and near-perfect conditions.
The high pressure system that rolled into the region on Monday remains firmly in control, according to the National Weather Service. This means clouds will remain scarce, though that dry air will produce temperatures about 5 degrees above normal on Tuesday afternoon.
After a cool morning with lows near 60 -- again the result of relatively low humidity -- highs will quickly climb into the mid 80s. Forecasters say it will be even warmer inland, with virtually no wind and nary a rain chance.
These clear skies and warm afternoons will remain intact into Friday, forecasters said. But this streak of beach weather on Friday, as a cold front will produce winds shifting from the south-southeast and thunderstorms starting in the morning and lingering into Saturday.
