Don't let the unseasonably warm start to the morning fool you, trouble in the form of some widespread storms is already brewing above us and should drop into Tampa Bay by late morning.

The morning starts clear and warm at 74 degrees, but a cold front making its way over the Nature Coast Friday morning should push through the region by lunchtime. The chance for severe weather remains marginal, the National Weather Service said. So, it shouldn't get as wild as the front that moved through last Friday, but there's still a chance for some strong winds, with gusts possibly kicking up to 30 mph. The worst of the frontal boundary should be gone by 3 or 4 p.m., with clear skies returning by early evening.

Afternoon highs are to be in the low 80s today.

Once the low pressure pushing the front makes its way past us, high pressure drops in and opens things up to much nicer conditions for the next few day, forecasters said.

Temperatures should drop to the low 60s in the overnight, but will rise to the middle 80s by Saturday afternoon. The best part, though, is that humidity will remain low throughout a warm weekend under sunny skies.
