You can safely leave the jackets at home Monday as high pressure holds over Tampa Bay, bringing clear skies and steady warmth for the next few days.

Monday starts a little cooler than normal with temperatures in the upper 50s, but the afternoon will see a high of 81, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures should only fall slightly by sunset, which drops at 7:59 p.m. tonight. The shelter of high pressure will keep most clouds and any precipitation away, setting up a sunny day with light winds around 5 mph. Overnight temperatures will drop to the middle and lower 60s, hovering right around the normal low of 64.

High pressure will remain in control for most of the week as temperatures hold near normal levels for late April. The next few days will see plenty of sunshine with highs in the middle 80s and lows in the middle 60s. The Weather Service said the next chance for rain shouldn't be until Friday into Saturday when low pressure makes its way across the southeast.
