Spring in Tampa Bay is off to a bright and pleasant start. And it should stay that way for a while, the National Weather Service said.

Morning clouds will give way to plenty of late-morning and afternoon sunshine Wednesday with temperatures in the low-mid 70s. Evening temperature will only drop a few degrees below 70 when the sunsets around 7:42 p.m. and head into the middle 50s over night.

Friday looks to be much of the same with plenty of sun and temperatures in the lower 70s, then things shoot to the seasonal norm of 77 for Saturday and 80 for Sunday.

Skies should be clear of rain until the middle of next week when a weak cold front comes through, the Weather Service said.
