Jackie Ripley joined the Times soon after the Clearwater Sun turned out the lights in 1989. Prior to that she spent 10 years as a broadcast journalist for numerous radio stations in the Tampa Bay area. She lives in Tampa and did her undergraduate and post graduate work at the University of South Florida.
