Sharon Tubbs is the editor for the City Times section, working with talented reporters who cover community news and social events in South, Central and West Tampa. She also writes a column that runs every Friday about interesting people and news happenings in the area. Sharon is originally from Fort Wayne, Ind., and came to the St. Petersburg Times in 1996 from New Jersey where she worked briefly as a correspondent for the Philadelphia Inquirer. During her time in the Tampa Bay area, she has written about a variety of topics, including local government, religion and race relations.
